Ken Lewenza Jr. Interrupts Noam Chomsky. Gets told to shut up...

Commentary | The Big Three

Tonight, Noam Chomsky spoke at the Cleary Auditorium as the keynote for University's conference on Propaganada. At the end of Chomsky's talk, the floor was opened for questions. After a few questions, Chomksy quickly mentioned auto manufacturing as a response to a Global Warming question (Stating that in a free market, companies like Ford have no incentive ot build Environmentally friendly vehicles). As soon as auto manufacturing was mentioned, someone got up and walked along the side of the balcony to get the attention of the moderator onstage (and interrupting Chomsky while doing so).

With a whole floor of University students, Professors and other people hoping to ask a relevant question to Chomsky, City Councillor and CAW Shill Ken Lewenza Jr. decided to interrupt. After introducing himself and starting to talk about the CAW's upcoming march, he was promptly told to "Shut up" by audience members for wasting Chomsky's time. Eventually the moderator asked "Do you have a question?", which Lewenza did not, and the audience started applauding as Lewenza finally did shut up.
